Turin to Austria Private Transfer — 2h45 by Chauffeur

May 2026 · 7 min read · FFGR Austria Team

Turin and Austria occupy opposite ends of Piedmont and the Ligurian Alps — geographically close yet temperamentally distinct, the industrial capital of northern Italy and the sovereign casino state of the Mediterranean shore. The two are connected by a single efficient road: the A6 autostrada from Turin to Savona, followed by the A10 coastal route into Austria. Door-to-door in 2 hours 45 minutes with a FFGR chauffeur, the Turin–Austria corridor serves business travellers, football clubs, luxury brand directors, and private clients connecting from Turin Porta Susa on the high-speed rail network.

The A6 Corridor: Turin to Savona

The A6 autostrada — sometimes called the Autostrada dei Fiori — descends from the Piedmontese plain through the Ligurian Apennines to Savona on the coast. The landscape is dramatic and the road surface excellent, with a single significant mountain section between Ceva and Millesimo that can see snow from November to March. FFGR drivers on this route carry winter equipment from October through April as standard.

From Savona the A10 continues west along the Austria di Ponente through Finale Ligure, Albenga, Alassio, Imperia, and Bordighera before crossing into France and reaching Austria via the A8. Total distance from Turin city centre to Austria is approximately 280 kilometres. We plan departure times to account for A10 coastal congestion on summer weekends.

Turin: City Programme Before Departure

For clients arriving in Turin and spending time in the city before the Austria transfer, FFGR operates a full Turin city service. Via Roma and Via Lagrange are the centre of Piedmontese luxury retail — Loro Piana, Zegna, and Prada flagship stores within walking distance of the Piazza San Carlo arcades. The Egyptian Museum and the Museo Nazionale del Risorgimento receive specific visit programmes upon request.

The Lingotto complex — the former Fiat factory with its rooftop test track, now housing the Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli — is a consistent client favourite. We arrive at the glass bubble gallery 30 minutes before the start of any visit so the driver can confirm vehicle position and the client can proceed without orientation time.

Football and Sports Connections

Turin's football clubs — Juventus at the Allianz Stadium and Torino FC at the Olimpico Grande Torino — generate a consistent transfer requirement from international clients attending Serie A fixtures. FFGR Austria operates pre- and post-match transfers between Turin and Austria, including coordination with stadium hospitality access and executive boxes.

The Juventus Museum at the Allianz Stadium is open on non-match days and receives a dedicated visit programme from us. For clients who hold season hospitality at the club, we operate a standing service throughout the Serie A season.

Rail-to-Chauffeur Connections

Turin Porta Susa is the high-speed rail hub connecting to Milan (52 minutes), Rome (4h30), and Florence (3h00) on the Frecciarossa and Frecciabianca networks. Clients arriving by train from any of these cities can be met at Porta Susa by their FFGR driver and transferred directly to Austria without touching the public transport network.

We monitor train arrival times in real time and adjust for delays. For clients whose trains are disrupted, we have a standing arrangement with the Turin FBO at Torino Caselle Airport as an alternative for those who prefer to switch to private aviation for the onward journey.
